LGV Paris-Cherbourg

An LGV line from Paris to Cherbourg is proposed. It was announced by President Sarkozy in April 2009, with a few further details fleshed out during a visit to Rouen by French Transport minister, Dominique Bussereau. Working groups have been established consisting of leaders of the local governments and french railway officials. A public consultation is expected in 2011.[1]

It would have journey times as follows:

  1. Paris-Rouen 45 min or less
  2. Paris-Le Havre 1h 15 min
  3. Paris-Caen 1h 30 min
  4. Paris-Cherbourg 2h 30min
